I hope you will forgive me contacting you out of the blue, even more so when you read why I’m contacting you (which is a bit cheeky!).
I live in Northern Ireland and work for the transport service of the Western Education & Library Board, an LEA in the west of the province.
I’ve been given the task of putting together a poster for the transport service’s Christmas party. Why they asked me must be blamed on insanity, because I haven’t an artistic bone in my body!
Desperate for ideas, I’ve scoured the internet for some inspiration and found the poster you designed for an Xmas party in the Babylon Lounge.
Now for the cheeky part… Would there be any way you might consider letting me use the Miss Santa you designed on our poster? I think it would really put a smile on the faces of all my friends and collegues after a year when things have been grim to say the least, and your artwork is so impressive it really deserves to be seen!
There’s another catch, we have no cash for this, indeed come to think of it, that would explain why they asked me to make this poster!!! The woman who is organising it says she needs three A3 posters, and that’s all. One will be for the notice board at work, one for the Silver Birches Hotel, Omagh, Co. Tyrone where the party is to be held, the third…? To be honest I have no idea where the third one is for.
If you would be willing to give me permission to use your artwork, it would really solve all my problems very nicely. As I said, three A3 posters is what I’m told is needed, and if you would be willing to provide me with a copy of the Miss Santa only if possible (the writing I can do myself), in a format suitable for inserting into an A3 size poster, I would really, really appreciate it.
I hope you look on this request favourably and look forward to hearing from you.
